History Bites - The Concepts of Design
Michael Rust, an apprentice to students trained by Frank Lloyd Wright and an organic architect in Chandler for over 25 years, will present the basic design principles he calls PHERBS. This stands for proportion, harmony, emphasis, rhythm, balance, and scale. He will also present the principles of organic architecture, including nature of material, connection to the site, deconstruction of the box, and repose. Each concept will be demonstrated and explained using photographs.
