These intangible assets or “creations of the mind” can include inventions, brands, software, or just proprietary know-how.This interactive lunch and learn, hosted in partnership with the City of Chandler Economic Development Division and Fuller IP Law, will break down the basics of intellectual property and provide a practical framework for protecting what you built.Attendees will learn what qualifies as intellectual property, when to start thinking about protection, and why it's often earlier than expected. The session will also cover how patents, trademarks, trade secrets, and licensing decisions can affect a company's value to customers, partners, and investors.We'll also talk through some of the most common and costly mistakes, such as publicly sharing an invention before filing, skipping NDAs, or failing to properly protect trade secrets.
