The Chandler Museum aims to be the community’s principal resource to explore Chandler’s history, and culture With your help we can offer more exhibitions and programs and serve more people. Children and Family Programs

Weekly Pre-K programming for children ages 3-5, 45 minute staff educator led interactive activities, stories, and songs.

Monthly programs designed for whole family to enjoy, two hour drop in programs guided by staff educators.

Replace and expand the educational supplies for our programs.

52 classes (morning and afternoon) over 26 Saturdays a year, free professional artist lead art classes for children ages 6 to 16.

Monthly drop-in self-directed arts/craft activity for all ages.

Replace and expand the art supplies for our programs.

Class field trip visit to the Museum or Tumbleweed Ranch with staff educator led instruction and interactive experiences.

Adult Programs

Quarterly 90 minute lecture-style history or cultural presentation on the weekend focusing on Chandler, Phoenix Valley, Arizona, or the Southwest Region.

Monthly 30-minute lunch-time program focusing on Chandler or East Valley history or cultural topics.

Weekend adult programming such as movie screening/discussions, cultural performances, music performances and lectures.

Museum Collection

Recording, editing, and transcribing a new oral history to add to our Oral History Collection.

Digitize a photo, book, document, newspaper or object to make item accessible to digital users.

Transcribe a document to make it more accessible for digital users and searchable for research and exhibition purposes.

Provide additional collection storage materials and supplies to improve how the museum collection is preserved.

Provide a professional conservator to repair and improve the condition of museum collection items.

Includes acquisition, cataloging, preservation, storing and display.

Community Engagement Programs

Four times per year, artist led engagement producing a community created temporary art piece.
