Aquatics FAQs

Chandler Aquatics registration is only accepted in-person or online.

Place your child by skills and abilities according to our course descriptions. You may also bring your child to any Chandler Aquatics center or pool during lessons or public swim hours and request a free swim test.

Chandler Aquatics Administration will notify you should an opening become available. Notification may come as late a 48- hours prior to the start of the class. Please make sure your contact information is current and up-to-date to ensure you receive notification in a timely manner. If we cannot reach you we will offer the space to the next person on the wait list.

Birthday parties are not allowed during public swim  and operational hours. Each facility is available for private rentals or birthday parties from May 1 through August 31. Rentals on Saturdays or Sundays are only available after our public swim hours. A three-week advanced notice is required in order to book a reservation and a 25% non-refundable deposit, paid by credit card is due at the time of reservation. Rental fees are determined by the facility, the number of people and the number of hours the facility of the reservation. Rentals require a two 2-hour minimum reservation.

A student may register for a maximum of one class per session.

A general rule of thumb is that children will remain in the same level for at least two sessions. Detailed information on your child's progress can be provided by your child's current instructor. Staff will do their best to move children into the appropriate class level the first day of each session if space is available. If a move cannot be accommodated, the instructor should be able to work with the student at the appropriate skill level.

If you wish to cancel your aquatics class/activity enrollment, you must do so at least 3-days prior to the class/session start date for a full refund. Cancellations are accepted online by directly withdrawing from the class or over the phone at (480) 782-2756 or 2753.

Less than 3-days notice will result in a 50% of the class fee refunded. On the start date of class/session, no refund is issued.

If you wish to cancel your aquatics certification course enrollment, you must do so at least 8-days prior to the class start date for a 50% refund. Cancellations received 7-days or less will not be issued a refund. Cancellations are accepted online by directly withdrawing from the class or over the phone at (480) 782-2756 or 2753. All transfers must be made 5 days prior to the start of the class.

No, lesson fees are per session. For example, if the fee for a 25-minute class is $20, that fee covers the entire 6-day session.

Yes, transfers may be made up until noon on the Friday before the next session begins; provided is space available. Connect with Aquatics Administration at (480) 782-2750 to coordinate your child's transfer.

The City restricts the type of food and beverages that patrons may bring into aquatic facilities during public swim hours. Refer to the Outside Food & Beverage Policy for more information.
