A gathering place for Chandler’s active adult community, the Senior Center provides quality recreational, social and supportive services for mature adults and their family members.
Friday, June 3
Dress up, dine out, and dance the night away. Chandler’s 55 yrs+ community is invited to relive their favorite prom memories at Senior Prom. The evening includes a DJ that runs the gamut from Lawrence Welk-era waltzes to ‘60s music. Prom-goers can also enjoy a traditional prom photo.
Walk through our doors and find an inviting place where adults of all ages can explore and enjoy activities and experiences to enrich your life and those around you. A focal point for our community, the Senior Center is dedicated to offering affordable recreational and leisure opportunities for active, senior adults 50 years and better. More than 90% of our daily activities are free and promote social, cultural and healthy lifestyles of our visitors. From arts and crafts to exercise to social outings there’s always fun for everyone. Discover why Chandler was named one of the 5 Best Places To Live by AARP Magazine by exploring our Break Time Recreation Guide or Calendar of Events.
Working to enrich the lives of our senior adults, the Senior Center has become a core part of the aging community, encouraging organic engagement at, and long after, each day. Over the years, the Center has become a hub for information sharing, social services and a sanctuary for caregivers to receive much-needed support. From free medical screenings to Medicare guidance to group counseling, the Center is here to lend a helping hand. A liaison between the Senior Center and Leadership, our Site Advisory Council’s contributions to the Senior Center are invaluable. Each year, in partnership with the Mayor’s Committee for Aging the Council, raises funds for entertainment, special meals, equipment, supplies and offers scholarships to help seniors attend classes and workshops they would not otherwise be able to attend.
Monthly Meetings allow seniors the opportunity to share their views and give ideas for future programs, activities, and special events. Connect with the Council.
Reservations for parties and group rentals are currently being accepted at a limited capacity. We will continue to monitor the COVID-19 situation and evaluate the availability of future reservations as needed, in order to help prevent the virus spread in our community. Whether you’re celebrating a milestone moment or planning a meeting or a seminar for a nonprofit group, the Senior Center multi- purpose rooms are great venues to serve you and your guests.
