Public Safety Fair

Each year the Chandler Police and Fire departments partner to host a Public Safety Fair. The free event showcases the work they do to keep residents safe and the equipment they use. There's plenty to see, touch and explore, so come join us from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, March 2, at the Police Main Station, 250 E. Chicago St., to learn more about public safety.

Event activities

  • Tour of Police Department
  • Police and Fire vehicles on display
  • Free child fingerprinting, balloons, coloring books, Fire and Police toy hats, badge stickers and more
  • Meet department mascots McGruff the Crime Dog and Eddy Eagle
  • Demonstrations include a fiery collision scene, vehicle extraction techniques and hands-only CPR classes, as well as several Police Department units including K-9, SWAT and Tactical Robot.
  • Informational booths hosted by City staff and other nonprofits
  • Community vendors
  • Food trucks 


Downtown Chandler Kar Show

In addition to all the public safety equipment, displays, and demonstrations, another event highlight will be Downtown Chandler Kar Show. Come see custom 'kars', hot rods and more. Car owners and enthusiasts are encouraged to participate. All proceeds from the 'kar' show will benefit the Chandler Community Foundation.

Free parking is available and within walking distance at the Chandler City Hall parking garage located at 240 S. Washington St., or the First Federal Credit Union parking garage at 100 E. Boston St.
