Chandler Police Department W. Steven Martin Toy Drive

Each year, the Chandler Police Department participates in the W. Steven Martin Toy Drive. The program gives police officers the opportunity to deliver new toys to children for the holiday, helping to strengthen the relationship between officers and the community. To contribute to the W. Steven Martin Toy Drive, drop off a new, unwrapped toy at any Valley Chevy dealership, or the main Chandler Police station or substations, between Nov. 29 and Jan. 3. While you’re dropping it off, snap a photo of you and your donation and submit it via Facebook or Instagram as noted above to enter the #LoveChandlerChallenge.

Chandler Fire Department Toy Drive

The Chandler Fire Department is collecting toys during the holiday season to help brighten the holidays for Chandler children who might otherwise go without presents this year.

The highlight of the annual toy drive is the Holiday Toy Ride, which will take place from 2–8 p.m. Dec. 7 at Chandler Fashion Center, 3111 W. Chandler Blvd. Anyone donating a new, unwrapped toy during the Holiday Toy Ride event will receive a ride in a Chandler fire engine. The toy collection point at Chandler Fashion Center is near the valet parking area outside of the food court on the south side of the mall.

New, unwrapped donations also can be dropped off in the lobby of the Chandler Fire Administration Headquarters, at 151 E. Boston St., or at any Chandler Fire Station, now through Dec. 12. Chandler firefighters and volunteers will help deliver the toys to the Chandler CARE Center, where they will be distributed to families in need, chosen by staff at Chandler Unified School District elementary schools.

While you’re dropping it off, snap a photo of you and your donation and submit it via Facebook or Instagram as noted above to enter the #LoveChandlerChallenge.

State Forty Eight Cause Shirt

Want a Chandler/State Forty Eight t-shirt but don't want to play?

City of Chandler/State Forty Eight Cause shirts are available at Sibley's West in Downtown Chandler or at State Forty Eight - storefront or online. With the purchase of a City of Chandler/State Forty Eight Cause T-shirt, $5 from each purchase will go toward the City's A-OK program.

The Chandler Acts of Kindness donation program, or A-OK for short, was developed in July 2000, to give residents an opportunity to make a voluntary donation to assist individuals and families within the City of Chandler that are in need. The contributions collected go back into the community through a grant process to support a variety of human service programs that provide basic needs such as food, shelter, clothing, medical services, transportation, and utility bill assistance to low-income Chandler residents.

Thanks to the generosity of the community, the Acts of Kindness program continues to be a success. Every cent collected is put right back into the community to help individuals and families in need. We appreciate you helping to make the lives of your neighbors a little better.
