Lunar New Year Festival
Tarwater Elementary Schools Lunar New Year Celebration is a school-community event that brings together current students, families, staff, alumni, and community organizations to celebrate Chinese language and culture.
The event will feature student performances, cultural activities, art master lessons, and interactive booths. Junior high and high school graduates of our Dual Language Immersion program will return as youth vendors, volunteers, performers, and activity leaders.
They will share their talents and experiences while serving as role models for younger students. The celebration will strengthen connections across grade levels and give students an authentic opportunity to use their language, cultural knowledge, creativity, and leadership skills.
