Chandler City Council approves formation of Charter Amendment Resident Advisory Committee

CHANDLER, Ariz. – The Chandler City Council has approved the formation of a nine-member Charter Amendment Resident Advisory Committee to perform a comprehensive review of the city’s charter. 

The committee consists of the following residents: Rene Lopez (Chair), Pastor Brad Davis, Heather Anguiano, Ursula Gordwin, Sherida McMullan, Lisa Askey, Jim Jurnak, Jennifer Pawlik and Terry Locke.

The committee will review the charter and make recommendations on potential charter amendments for the City Council to consider referring to voters in the future.

The work of the committee is in addition to the two charter amendments that City Council has referred to the ballot in a Charter Amendment Election to be held on Nov. 4, 2025.

Proposition 410 would amend Article II, Section 2.01 of the Chandler City Charter regarding the eligibility of a person to serve terms in the offices of councilmember and mayor.

Proposition 411 would amend Article III, Sections 3.01 and 3.02 of the Chandler City Charter regarding the appointment and removal of the city manager.
