CHANDLER, Ariz. – Calling all Chandler teens! Have you ever wondered how a large city runs? If your curiosity is piqued, we invite you to apply for the Teen Leadership Academy.

During the one-day program, students will meet with elected officials, managers and staff from multiple city departments to better understand how Arizona’s fourth largest city is run. The free academy will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Friday, March 15, (during the spring break for Chandler Unified and other area school districts).

Students must be Chandler residents who currently are enrolled in high school or a similar level home-school program. Students also must have transportation to and from City Hall.

Applications for the first 25 participants will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. To apply, visit Teen Leadership Academy. For more information about the program, contact Alexis Apodaca with the Mayor & Council Office at 480-782-2222.
