CHANDLER, Ariz. -The Chandler City Council has approved a one-year service agreement with Crisis Preparation and Recovery, in an amount not to exceed $150,000, to provide Chandler Police with on-site and telehealth mental health clinician services.

An embedded clinician through the contracted services will promote the health of police department employees and improve access to professional mental health services.

The clinician will perform annual mental health wellness checks, ongoing counseling and medication management, mental health training and provide assessments and support following critical police incidents.

This agreement is the latest investment in the physical and mental health of Chandler Police. To advance the health and wellness of police officers, the City Council approved an agreement last year with Sigma Tactical Wellness to offer voluntary screenings for early detection of heart disease and related conditions.
