The National Black Caucus and Hispanic Elected Local Officials have shared best practices and advocated for policies that benefit Black and Latino communities, including expanding educational opportunities, leadership development, peer-learning and minority business enterprise programs. The Large Cities Council consists of local elected officials representing cities with a population of 200,000 or more to share ideas and strategies that address the unique challenges affecting large cities.
Councilmember Harris began serving on the Chandler City Council in January 2021. He also serves as the NLC representative on the Institute for Building Technology and Safety Board of Directors and represents Chandler on the Valley Metro Regional Public Transit Authority Board of Directors.
