CHANDLER, Ariz. — The City of Chandler’s Economic Development Division is hosting a Youth Career Event from 3–6 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 25, offering local young adults the opportunity to connect directly with Chandler-based employers and explore career pathways.

The free event is designed for job seekers ages 17 to 24 and will take place at the Downtown Chandler Library, 22 S. Delaware St.

Attendees will have the opportunity to speak one-on-one with employers offering entry-level, part-time and work-based learning opportunities; learn about available positions; and inquire about skills, experience and next steps towards employment.

“The Youth Career Event is about helping young people take that next step and make meaningful connections with Chandler-based businesses,” said Mayor Kevin Hartke. “This event allows participants to meet with several employers at once to maximize their time.”

In addition to meeting employers, participants can explore different career paths and gain insight into what local businesses are looking for in today’s workforce.

The city is collaborating with several educational partners on this event, including Chandler Unified School District, Chandler-Gilbert Community College, Arizona State University and the University of Arizona.

Registration is encouraged. For more information and to register, visit Chandler Youth Career Event.
