Caseflow Management

Purpose

To establish timeframes and case processing standards to promote Arizona Supreme Court Administrative Order 2013-95, and meeting Arizona Case Processing Time Standards.

  • 75% within 60 days
  • 90% within 90 days
  • 98% within 180 days
  • 80% within 60 days
  • 98% within 90 days
  • 85% within 120 days
  • 93% within 180 days

  • 99% within 24 hours

  • 100% within 10 days
Guideline in Case Setting

Arraignment (Out of Custody) 

  • Schedule within 30 days from the Date of Violation. 

Pre-Trials 

  • All Pre-Trials are held in-person.
  • Schedule within 21 days from Arraignment.
  • Any continuances must be set within 21 days from date order was granted.
  • All parties must appear on the 2 nd Pre-Trial and thereafter.
  • Expectation is no more than a total of 3 Pre-Trials set on a case. 

Status Conferences

  • Schedule within 21 days from Pre-Trial. 

Calendar Calls

  • Scheduled within 7 days of the scheduled jury trial. Typically, the Calendar Call and the Jury Trial dates are determined and scheduled as a “pair”. 

Non-Jury Trials

  • Scheduled within 21 days from Pre-Trial. 

Jury Trials

  • Scheduled within 21 days from Status Conference.
  • Set no more than 10 jury trials on jury trial date.

Arraignment 

  • Schedule within 30 days from Date of Violation. 

Hearings

  • Schedule within 30 days from Hearing Request Date. 

Defensive Driving School Deadline 

  • Schedule within 30 days from Date of Request.
