Veterans Oasis Park is considered one of the premier birding spots in the Valley. Recharge basins, riparian environments and an abundance of native vegetation draws a variety of migratory and local birds to the park. From the tiny burrowing owls to the stunning vermillion flycatchers, over 153 species have been documented in the park.Desert Rivers Audubon Society provide classes throughout the year to encourage new and experienced birders to enjoy the variety of species at Veterans Oasis Park.
