Saguaro Social Club

The new east addition at the Tumbleweed Recreation Center is now home to the Saguaro Social Club. This is a dedicated time for those 55 and older to enjoy exclusive access to games, activities, and educational sessions through a free membership. Registered fitness and leisure opportunities are available through the Break Time Recreation Guide

Saguaro Social Club memberships are available with an ID at TRC Guest Services.

Bring some friends (or just yourself!) and enjoy playing card games from our collection. No matter your game, whether it’s Euchre, Spades, or Skip-Bo, the table’s always open, and the jokers are welcome. Various games are available.

Dance Fusion

Boost mobility, flexibility, and coordination through gentle, choreographed movement—no dance experience needed. Wear comfortable clothing and close-toed shoes.

Fix-It and Finish-It

Bring those "I'll get to it someday" tasks and small projects to complete while working alongside others. Simply enjoy the company of fellow fixers while you sort photos, mend clothing items, or organize your recipes. Please note this is not an instructional class and supplies and storage space are not included. 

Game On!

Team up for fun group games, good company, and a few good laughs. It’s a great way to keep your mind sharp and your social circle strong. Bring your lunch and enjoy a bite while you play.

Saguaro Social Walking Club - on hiatus for Summer 2026. 

Take a scenic stroll with a self-led group around Tumbleweed Park’s 1.25-mile paved trail. Designed with mobility in mind, the path features shade, benches, and lovely views. Whether you’re looking to boost your stamina or simply enjoy some fresh air with good company, everyone is welcome. Meet in the east wing lobby.

Show & Tell for Grown-Ups - on hiatus for July

Rediscover the magic of show & tell in a welcoming space in a way that feels fun, meaningful, and totally grown-up. Bring an item with a story (or just come to listen) and enjoy time connecting while you share memories and conversation. 

Sketch Station

Explore your creativity at our self-led sketch station with weekly prompts, drawing supplies, and cozy inspiration. No experience needed—just pick up a pencil and see where it takes you.

Strategy Games

Challenge your mind with friendly competition! Think critically, plan strategically, and anticipate your opponents’ moves while enjoying tabletop games like Stratego and Ticket to Ride in a fun, social setting.

Stitch Club

Bring your current fiber-arts project and chat with like-minded folks who love stitching, crocheting, quilting, cross-stitching, and all things crafting. It's a welcome space to stitch, share, and socialize at your own pace. Please note this is not an instructional class, and supplies and project storage are not included.
