Teen Violence

Background

Teen violence in the southeast Valley has prompted collective action with a firm resolve to make it stop and hold those involved accountable. We empathize with the victims of teen violence and their families.

Chandler's Mayor and Councilmembers condemn teen violence and have taken a zero-tolerance policy. Resources are committed to prevent, investigate and prosecute any such crimes in Chandler.

Chandler residents with information related to teen violence incidents are encouraged to share what they know with the police departments in the jurisdictions where those incidents occurred. We continue to review investigations of past incidents and follow up on new information reported to police.

This page illustrates how to contact police and addresses frequently asked questions. Posting such evidence on social media is not a substitute for contacting police.

Chandler Police are in regular contact with the Queen Creek and Gilbert police departments, offering assistance and resources to address teen violence investigations.

A message for parents and teens: any such incidents of teen violence in Chandler will be aggressively investigated and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. By working together with police, we ensure the safety of our teens and families.
