The City of Chandler is updating its General Plan, and we want you to be part of the conversation!
Join us for a kickoff event featuring a panel of water and housing experts, plus an interactive open house with educational exhibits, a Mother’s Day Giveaway, and refreshments. Children welcome!
Interested attendees are encouraged to RSVP by May 5.
Chandler Downtown Library, 22 S. Delaware St.
During this interactive session, attendees will learn about the General Plan—Chandler’s long-range policy document that outlines goals and strategies for managing growth, land use, housing, water, transportation, economic development and more.
A highlight of the workshop is a hands-on mapping activity, where participants will engage in a creative, planning-focused exercise using large-scale maps and land use “chips.” These chips represent different uses—such as housing units, employment centers, and other community amenities, and attendees will be invited to design their ideal mixed-use neighborhoods.
The exercise allows the community to visualize the future of Chandler and communicate their preferences for how the city’s growth areas should evolve over the next decade.
Workshops are free and open to the public; no registration is required. Refreshments will be provided.
