2022 Primary Election: August 2, 2022
On August 2, 2022, the City of Chandler will hold an election for the purpose of:
- Electing a Mayor and three Councilmembers to serve on the Chandler City Council.
- Submitting a ballot measure, Proposition 470 - Alternative Expenditure Limitation – Home Rule Option, to the qualified Chandler voters.

Registered Independent Voters
All City of Chandler registered voters including Independent Registered Voters are eligible to vote in the Primary Election.

Voters will choose a Chandler City Mayor and three City Councilmembers.
Proposition 470 – Home Rule Option
Proposal for the continuation of the Local Alternative Expenditure Limitation – Home Rule Option
The proposal replaces the state-imposed expenditure limitation by continuing the alternative expenditure limitation for Chandler for the next four years. Annually, the City Council will determine the amount of the alternative expenditure limitation for the fiscal year after at least one public hearing. Established exclusions shall continue to apply.
Any registered voter who resides in the City of Chandler boundaries (excluding County islands) may vote in a City of Chandler Election. July 5, 2022 is the deadline to register to vote for the August 2, 2022 Primary Election.
