CHANDLER, Ariz. — The City of Chandler is offering the community free guided tours of Chandler Municipal Airport. The next tour is scheduled for Friday, Sept. 18, with three tour times available: 10–11 a.m., noon–1 p.m. and 2–3 p.m.
Space is limited for the one-hour tour (14 guests per time slot) and advanced registration is required online at Airport Tours.
This unique opportunity allows residents, students and aviation enthusiasts to go behind-the-scenes and learn more about airport operations and the airport’s role in the nation’s aviation system. The tour includes a presentation from the airport’s manager, followed by an airfield overview and a brief stop at the heliport.
Upcoming tour dates include Friday, Oct. 16, Friday, Nov. 20 and Thursday, Dec. 17. Registration for the remaining fall dates will be available three weeks in advance of each scheduled tour date.
