CHANDLER, Ariz — The City of Chandler will close city offices on Thursday, Dec. 25, 2025 for the Christmas holiday and Jan. 1, 2026 for the New Year’s Day holiday. City offices will be open with limited services available Dec. 26, 29, 30 and 31. Visit chandleraz.gov for the most up-to-date information. The facility and service impacts are as follows:
- City administrative offices will be closed Thursday, Dec. 25 and Thursday, Jan. 1, 2026.
- The Utility Services and Licensing office will be closed Dec. 25 and Jan. 1. On Dec. 26, 29, 30 and 31 staff will be available to assist customers by phone at 480-782-2280 for utilities, or in person from 8:30-11:30 a.m. and then again from 12:30-4:30 p.m. Licensing assistance will be available by phone at 480-782-2299 or in person by appointment only Dec. 26, 29, 30 and 31 — schedule an appointment at chandleraz.gov/Schedule.
- The City Clerk’s office will not be available for passport appointments from Dec. 25 through Jan. 1. Schedule future appointments at chandleraz.gov/Schedule.
- Trash and recycling will be picked up as normal on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Trash and recycling are not collected on Christmas Day or New Year’s Day which fall on Thursdays this year. If your collection day is Thursday or Friday, place your container out one day later through Saturday for these two weeks.
- The Recycling-Solid Waste Collection Center (RSWCC) will be closed Dec. 25 for Christmas, and Jan.1 for New Year’s Day. The RSWCC is also closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays year-round.
- No lap swimming will be held at Desert Oasis, Nozomi, and Mesquite Groves Aquatic Centers from Dec. 22 through Jan. 4. Arrowhead Pool, Hamilton Aquatic Center, and Folley Pool are closed for the season.
- Chandler Public Libraries (Downtown, Basha, Hamilton and Sunset) will be:
- Dec. 24 – All branches will be open 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
- Dec. 25 – All branches will be closed
- Dec. 26 – All branches will be open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Dec. 27 – Open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (Downtown and Sunset); 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. (Basha); 1-5 p.m. (Hamilton)
- Dec. 28 – Open 1-5 p.m. (Downtown and Sunset); Closed (Basha and Hamilton)
- Dec. 29 – All branches will be open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Dec. 30 – All branches will be open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Dec. 31 – All branches will be open 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
- Jan. 1 – All branches will be closed
- Tumbleweed Recreation Center will be:
- Dec. 24 – Open 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Dec. 25 – Closed
- Dec. 26 - Open 5 a.m. to 8 p.m.
- Dec. 27 – Open 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
- Dec. 28 – Open 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
- Dec. 29 & 30 – Open 5 a.m. to 8 p.m.
- Dec. 31 – Open 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

- Chandler Tennis Center will be:

- The Chandler Nature Center will be open for camps held at this location, but for the general public will be:
