Christmas and New Year’s holiday service schedule for the City of Chandler

CHANDLER, Ariz — The City of Chandler will close city offices on Dec. 25, 2023 and Jan. 1, 2024. City offices will be open with limited services available Dec. 26-29. The facility and service impacts are as follows:

  • City administrative offices will be closed Monday, Dec. 25 and Monday, Jan. 1.
     
  • The Utility Services and Sales Tax office will be closed Dec. 25 and Jan. 1. From Dec. 26-29, staff will be available to assist customers by phone at 480-782-2280, or in person from 8:30-11:30 a.m. and then again from 12:30-4:30 p.m. Licensing assistance will be available by appointment only from Dec. 26-29.
     
  • The City Clerk’s office will not be available for passport appointments from Dec. 25 through Jan. 1. Schedule a future appointment.
     
  • Trash and recycling are not collected on Christmas Day or New Year’s Day which fall on Mondays this year. Containers will be collected one day later through Saturday for these two weeks.
     
  • The Recycling-Solid Waste Collection Center (RSWCC) will be closed Sunday and Monday, Dec. 24 and 25 for Christmas, and Monday, Jan.1, 2024 for New Year’s Day. The RSWCC is also closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays year-round.
     
  • No lap swimming will be held at Desert Oasis, Nozomi, and Hamilton Aquatic Centers from Dec. 23 through Jan. 7. Arrowhead Pool, Folley Pool, and Mesquite Groves Aquatic Center are closed for the season. 
     
  • Chandler Public Libraries (Downtown, Basha, Hamilton and Sunset) will be:
    • Dec. 24 - Closed
    • Dec. 25 - Closed
    • Dec. 26-29 - Open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
    • Dec. 30 – Open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (Downtown and Sunset); 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. (Basha); 1-5 p.m. (Hamilton)
    • Dec. 31 - Closed
    • Jan. 1 - Closed
       
  • Tumbleweed Recreation Center will be:
    • Dec. 23 - Open 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
    • Dec. 24, 25 - Closed
    • Dec. 26-29 - Open 5 a.m. to 8 p.m.
    • Dec. 30 - Open 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
    • Dec. 31 - Closed
    • Jan. 1 - Closed
       
  • Chandler Tennis Center will be:
    • Dec. 23 - Open 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
    • Dec. 24, 25 - Closed
    • Dec. 26-28 - Open 7:30 a.m. to 10 p.m.
    • Dec. 29 - Open 7:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 4-9 p.m.
    • Dec. 30 - Open 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
    • Dec. 31, Jan. 1 - Closed
       
  • The Chandler Nature Center will be open for camps held at this location, but for the general public will be:
    • Dec. 23 - Open 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
    •  Dec. 24, 25 - Closed
    • Dec. 26-29 - Open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
    • Dec. 30  - Open 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
    • Dec. 31  - Closed
    • Jan. 1  - Closed
       
  • Snedigar Recreation Center will be closed to the general public, but open for camps from Dec. 26-30 from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.
     
  • Community Center and Senior Center
    • Dec. 23-25 - Closed
    • Dec. 26-29 - Open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
    • Dec. 30, 31 and Jan. 1- Closed  
       
  • Chandler Museum will be:
    • Dec. 24-25 - Closed
    • Dec. 26-28 - Open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
    • Dec. 29-31 - Closed
    • Jan. 1 - Closed
       
  • The box office at the Center for the Arts will be:
    • Dec. 24-25 - Closed
    • Dec. 26-29 - Open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
    • Dec. 30 - Open Noon to 5 p.m.
    • Dec. 31 – Open 3-8 p.m.
    • Jan. 1 - Closed

  • The Vision Gallery will be:
    • Dec. 24-25 - Closed
    • Dec. 26-29 - Open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
    • Dec. 30, 31 and Jan. 1 - Closed
       
  • The Center for the Arts Gallery will be:
    • Dec. 24-25 - Closed
    • Dec. 26-29 - Open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
    • Dec. 31 and Jan. 1 - Closed
