CHANDLER, Ariz. – The City of Chandler opened one lane of westbound Chandler Boulevard on Monday, Feb. 23, at 1 p.m. and will open one lane of eastbound Chandler Boulevard on Tuesday, Feb. 24, at 1 p.m.
Crews are performing an emergency sewer repair at the intersection of Chandler Boulevard and Delaware Street. Lanes will remain restricted on Chandler Boulevard between Arizona Avenue and Hamilton Street through the remainder of the week.
Delaware Street remains closed on both sides of Chandler Boulevard, with no traffic allowed through the intersection.
Commuters can use Pecos Road and Ray Road as detours to avoid these closures. Use Arizona Avenue to access the downtown Chandler area during these closures.
A status update will be provided on Friday, Feb. 27, regarding the timeline for repairs to be completed at the intersection. Water and wastewater services will continue to be operational while the repairs occur.
