CHANDLER, Ariz. – The City of Chandler will be closing east and west bound traffic on Chandler Boulevard between Arizona Avenue and Hamilton Street for an emergency sewer repair at the intersection of Delaware Street and Chandler Boulevard. This road closure will begin tonight, Thursday, Feb. 19 at 8 p.m. This intersection will be closed for at least the next four days.
In addition, Delaware Street will be closed on both sides of Chandler Boulevard with no traffic allowed through the intersection.
Commuters can use Pecos Road and Ray Road as detours to avoid these closures. Use Arizona Avenue to access the downtown Chandler area during these closures.
A status update will be provided on Monday, Feb. 23, regarding these closures. Water and wastewater services will continue to be operational while the repairs occur.
