Neighborhood Advisory Committee

The seven-member committee is responsible for implementing the recommendations formulated by the Neighborhood Task Force and to address new neighborhood issues as may be identified.
 

Meetings usually held the second Tuesday of every month at 6 p.m., at the Neighborhood Resources Office, 235 S. Arizona Ave.

Other areas of focus include recommendations on creating, maintaining and enhancing neighborhood programs; reviewing and recommending revisions to the City Code in order to ensure the City Codes are up to date, applicable to conditions in Chandler, clearly understandable, and enforceable; and recommending programs which will educate Chandler residents as to the importance and benefits of perpetual neighborhood longevity.

 

Members

Requirements: Seven members (three-year term); be a qualified elector; geographic representation; residents for one year preceding appointment. Ad hoc or Ex officio members may be added to represent the local school districts.

The term of each member shall be for three years, and each member shall serve until his/her successor is appointed and qualified. Any vacancy in office during the term shall be filled by the Mayor with approval of the Council for the unexpired term.
