The seven-member Commission is a recommending body that reviews zoning applications such as Rezoning, Preliminary Development Plan, Area Plan, and Use Permits as well as policies and Zoning Code amendments.
Public comments relating to Agenda Items can be submitted on this Public Comment Form, which are submitted to Planning Staff. All comments relating to the Meeting Agenda will be distributed to the Planning and Zoning Commission.

The Commission reviews development and land use requests in accordance with the City's adopted General Plan, Zoning Code, and City adopted plans and policies to make a recommendation to the City Council. The packet will be available after 4 p.m. on the Friday before the meeting.

The Commission also reviews and makes suggestions to the City Council and all other public authorities, plans for regulating the future growth, development and beautification of Chandler.

Requirements: Seven members (three-year term); must be a qualified elector; resident one year preceding appointment.
The term of each member shall be for three years, and each member shall serve until his/her successor is appointed and qualified. Any vacancy in office during the term shall be filled by the Mayor with approval of the Council for the unexpired term.
