Internships with Chandler Recreation

Senior Center Intern

The City of Chandler values education and believes that students bring new ideas, new energy and new skills to the workforce. An internship with the City offers insight into local government while sharpening your programming, planning, communication, and writing skills. Applicants must be pursuing a degree in Parks and Recreation Management, Leisure Studies, Marketing, Exercise, Wellness or a related field.

Interns will be selected based on their initiative, willingness to learn, having a positive attitude, strong writing and communication skills and the ability to work well in teams and independently.

We appreciate that the Internship Program is unpaid and people are juggling jobs, families, classes and other obligations. The ideal time commitment is 15 to 20 hours a week for two to six months and can be used for college credit.

To be considered, candidates must submit the following items:

  1. Cover Letter
  2. Resume
  3. Intern Application
