The Tenant Based Rental Assistance (TBRA) program utilizes federal HOME funds to provide rental assistance to those that are currently homeless in Chandler. TBRA provides payments to landlords to make up the difference between the amount a low-income household can afford to pay for housing and the local rent standards.
TBRA rental assistance contracts with tenants cannot be for less than one (1) year and may not exceed two (2) years. Assisted units must meet Housing Quality Standards and will be inspected before a lease can be signed and annually thereafter to ensure continued compliance.
