What is a community association and who runs the place?! Your community association is a business, a nonprofit corporation governed by the declaration of CC&Rs, articles of incorporation and by-laws. In this class, we will provide you with an overview of the characteristics, types, structures and documents of HOAs and Condos. We’ll also address the roles, rights, and responsibilities [and liabilities!] of the board of directors and its residents/members.

When the working situation between a management company and an association becomes tenuous, the board of directors should ask the question, “Is it the company or the manager that is the problem?”. In this class, we’ll discuss the unique relationship between a management company and the association, and we will provide tips for effectively working with vendors from A to Z.

How HOAs/Condos can best handle rental properties (including a discussion on short-term rentals) and parking Issues. We’ll also discuss A.R.S. 33-1818 regarding public roadways. As always, we will have a free Q and A session at the end of the class.
