Landscape Maintenance Program

The City of Chandler Streets Division maintains an estimated 425 acres of landscape/hardscape within the City right of way.

The Landscape Maintenance Program consists of continuous pro-active routine maintenance of these area assets as well as general upgrades due to the loss from storm damage, accidents, theft, disease, and time.

The majority of maintenance encompasses assets within arterial roadway sections raised medians; (decomposed granite, ornamental decorations, raised median pavers, flowers, shrubs, cacti, trees, watering systems, backflow prevention, etc.).  The Streets Division also maintains similar assets within various retention basins, turf areas, and isolated locations along the Western Canal. All vegetation adhere to the Arizona Department of Water Resources (ADWR) Low Water Use / Drought Tolerant Plant guidelines for the Phoenix Metropolitan Active Management Region.
