Policy of Non-Discrimination
The City of Chandler does not discriminate on the basis of disability in the admission or access to, or treatment or employment in, its programs or activities.
Warren White has been designated to coordinate compliance with the non-discrimination requirements contained in the Department of Justice regulations implementing Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), including section 35.107. Information concerning the provisions of the Americans with Disabilities Act, and the rights provided thereunder, are available from Warren White, the ADA coordinator.
Website Accessibility Policy
The City of Chandler, Arizona, is committed to making chandleraz.gov compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act. The City maintains its Web site to allow common accessibility, using standards set forth in Worldwide Web Consortium (W3C).
Most reports and publications that are made available on the City's Web site are available in html. In many cases, documents also are published using Adobe Portable Document Format (PDF). Multiple formats are provided to improve accessibility.
The City of Chandler welcomes comments on how to improve the site's accessibility for users with disabilities and is committed to making its Web site compliant with Conformance Level "Priority 1" of the W3C's accessibility ratings.

Arizona Relay Service
The City of Chandler offers Text Telephone (TTY) or Telecommunications Devices for the Deaf (TDD) services for persons with speech or hearing impairments. Chandler staff also is trained in the use of the Arizona Relay System for the deaf, or 711.
ADA Complaint/Grievance Procedure
The City has established a standard Grievance Procedure to provide prompt and equitable resolution of complaints or requests pertaining to requirements of the ADA. These procedures are outlined in the Administrative Regulation CC Reg. CA-01.

ADA Transition Plan
In December 2015, the City completed a comprehensive update of the City's existing ADA Transition Plan, as well as the completion of a Self-Evaluation of all City programs to insure the City's programs and facilities are in compliance with the federal ADA law. The purpose of the Transition Plan is to identify and recommend corrections to programmatic, building, and infrastructure obstacles that prevent full access to City programs and services. The Transition Plan consists of a list of physical barriers present at the time of the Self-Evaluation and a detailed outline of the methods to be used to remove these barriers. Further updates to the plan were also completed in December of 2016.
