CHANDLER, Ariz. – The City of Chandler’s Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Division is celebrating Juneteenth and Freedom Week by co-hosting the third annual Culture Music in the Park event on Saturday, June 15, from 7-9:30 p.m. at Dr. A.J. Chandler Park West, 3 S. Arizona Ave.

The public is invited to enjoy live music by Vaughn Willis & Ear Candy. Attendees are encouraged to bring a lawn chair (to chill between musical sets), enjoy delicious food from local vendors available for purchase, and stay cool with misters onsite.

Co-hosting the event with Chandler’s DEI Division are South Chandler Self-Help Foundation and Ready, Set, Go! Foundation.

In addition, the city’s DEI Division is also a proud sponsor of the annual Miss Juneteenth Arizona Scholarship and Pageant, organized by the South Chandler Self-Help Foundation. The event is Friday, June 14, starting at 6 p.m., at the Chandler Center for the Arts, 250 N. Arizona Ave.

This pageant celebrates history, culture and community. Attendees of the pageant are not only supporting the contestants, they are honoring the legacy of Juneteenth and contributing to the empowerment of future leaders. Tickets can be purchased online at Miss Juneteenth Arizona.
