For the past 14 years, Chandler has hosted For Our City Day — a day of service dedicated to revitalizing one neighborhood in Chandler with the help of hundreds of community volunteers.
This huge volunteer initiative has always taken place during the month of October. Going forward, For Our City Day will be moved to late March. Since all of the projects are completed outdoors, the slightly cooler weather would benefit everyone involved.
Mark your calendar for For Our City Day on Saturday, March 29, 2025 as we assist residents from the Pamela Park neighborhood near downtown Chandler. For this year only, we’ll host a For Our City Day Kickoff event to help with the event’s transition to spring. We hope you can join us on Saturday, Oct. 19, 2024 from 7 - 8:30 a.m. at Trinity Christian Fellowship Church, 50 S. McQueen followed by a short walk to Pamela Park Neighborhood.
Staff and volunteers will also start work on cleaning a few alleys in the neighborhood and surveying residents door-to-door to learn of project opportunities for March. We encourage Pamela Park homeowners to stop by and learn about the upcoming For Our City Day and how the city can assist with projects at their homes, such as yard maintenance, painting, etc., as well as learn about other city resources available.
