Learn more about the Chandler Heights Road Improvement Project, McQueen Road to Gilbert Road.
The project will improve Chandler Heights Road from Gilbert Road to Val Vista Drive. When complete, Chandler Heights Road from Gilbert Road to Val Vista Drive will consist of four lanes (two lanes in each direction) with raised medians, bike lanes, center turn lane, curb, gutter and sidewalk.
The project includes any necessary utility relocations, drainage improvements such as retention basins and concrete scuppers throughout the project limits, as well as traffic signal improvements at the Chandler Heights Road and Lindsay Road intersection, new street lighting (LED) and traffic signal interconnect.
The project is receiving federal funds for design, land acquisition and construction, so environmental, right-of-way and utility clearances will need to be coordinated with ADOT/FHWA. Construction is currently scheduled to begin in 2023, pending funding.
If you’d like to receive updates during construction or have questions regarding the project, please contact us.
