For Our Parks Day
In honor of Park and Recreation Month, Chandler Parks is inviting the community to join them at For Our Parks Day. In just one morning, restore two of the athletic fields at Snedigar Sportsplex for the upcoming sports season.Volunteers will assist in a variety of projects, including:assembling and installing new picnic tables and trash receptaclesassembling and installing two new sets of bleachersreplacing all existing signageplanting two new trees to enhance the landscapeAdditionally, the Parks Maintenance team will host a Field Prep 101 workshop, offering volunteers hands-on training in how to prepare a field to a game-ready condition.The community, including scouting groups, businesses, service clubs, sporting teams and other organizations, are encouraged to volunteer.
