CHANDLER, Ariz. — Applications are now being accepted for educational mini-grants of up to $1,000 in support of DEI programs for youth ages 5-18. These grants are available to teachers, schools, nonprofit organizations, and community groups that are either located in Chandler or provide services to Chandler residents or students. Proposals must align with the city's DEI mission: "To cultivate a community and municipal organization that embraces diversity to create a more inclusive and equitable place to live, work and thrive."
Funding is provided by Chandler’s Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Division in partnership with the city’s Human Relations Commission. To apply and learn more about the mini-grants application process, visit Chandler Diversity Funding Opportunities.
In addition, applications also are being accepted for the city’s DEI Event Sponsorship Program. Now in year two, this continuing pilot program offers funding for new or emerging DEI-focused events in Chandler. Organizations previously awarded last year also may apply for this year’s funding.
This program accepts applications for events planned more than three months in advance with two review periods:
- Round 1: Due Oct. 2024 for events taking place January - December 2025;
- Round 2: Due April 1, 2025, for events taking place July - December 2025.
