Chandler hosts City Council Installation on Jan. 12

CHANDLER, Ariz. The City of Chandler will host an installation ceremony at 6 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 12, 2023. Elected officials to be sworn in include Mayor Kevin Hartke, Councilmember Matt Orlando and newly elected Councilmembers Angel Encinas and Jane Poston. All elected officials will serve a four-year term.

They will join seated Councilmembers Christine Ellis, OD Harris and Mark Stewart. Leaving the Council are Vice Mayor Terry Roe and Councilmember René Lopez.

The installation ceremony will be held in the City Council Chambers, located at 88 E. Chicago St., and will occur after the City Council’s regularly scheduled meeting. The installation ceremony will be preceded by a reception for outgoing Councilmembers from 5 to 6 p.m. in the Vision Gallery, 10 E. Chicago St.

The ceremony will be live streamed on the City's website, and Chandler’s YouTube channel. The event also will be broadcast locally on Cox Communications Channel 11 and Orbital Cable Channel 20 (Sun Lakes).
