2019 For Our City Day By the Numbers

With the help of more than 1,000 volunteers working on dozens of projects, this year’s For Our City Day held on Oct. 26 made a long-lasting impact on our community and its residents. 

For Our City Day is an annual collaboration of Chandler residents, local businesses, nonprofits, City staff and neighbors coming together to build community and instill neighborhood pride. This year’s For Our City Day took place in the Chandler Manor Community. 

Thank you to all of the volunteers, businesses and contributors who helped make this year a success. Here’s a look at what you accomplished, by the numbers:

Nominate a Volunteer for the 2020 Volunteer Recognition Awards

The City of Chandler and For Our City-Chandler are excited to present the annual Chandler Volunteer Recognition Awards in honor of the tremendous impact and contributions volunteers bring to our community.

Faith-based groups, nonprofits, schools, businesses and any other group with volunteers are encouraged to nominate individuals for one of eight Chandler Volunteer Recognition Awards. All volunteers with more than 1,000 hours received a lapel pin and certificate from the Mayor. Volunteers with more than 100 hours will receive a certificate from the Mayor.

Submit your nominee. The volunteer nomination period will run through Nov. 15, 2019.
