In 2018, the City of Chandler passed a new Code Chapter that requires all businesses located in the City to obtain a business registration. This business registration began in 2018 and will help the City with maintaining a list of all businesses located in Chandler. This will allow the City to continue with verifying tax records and assist with public safety inquiries.
Council approved the $45 annual fee for the business registration.
The City Code Chapter 22, Short-Term Rental Registration, requires all short-term rentals located in the City to obtain a registration beginning Monday, Nov. 16, 2020.
The provisions of the new City Code require short-term rental property owners to provide general and contact information for each short-term rental property owned by completing the Short-Term Rental Registration form prior to Jan. 1, 2021, and returning it via email. The Code allows short-term rental property owners to provide either their contact information or identify a designee who can respond to complaints in a timely manner.
There is no charge for this registration. Short-term rental property owners will automatically receive a Short-Term Rental Registration certificate for their records in 2021, and a request to update their information each year thereafter.
